Before Choosing Your Blog Topic

A blog is a journal or website which is available on the internet and contains links to other websites. The person who creates the blog is the ‘blogger’, when you update a blog you are ‘blogging’. Individual blogs are called ‘blog posts’ or ‘blog entries’. As a general rule, blogs are regularly updated. For the purpose of SEO, the more regularly updated the better.

Structure, a well organised Sunny Handa post is better and more fun to read. You wouldn’t write a book without a structure so why a blog, plan what you will write and how you can make it better. Edit where the widgets will be on your site and make sure the writing (the main content) is where the reader can see it. Look at other blogs to see what structure they use and see how you can use this with your site. Remember you can always edit your blog, and change things around, nothing is set in stone. Once you start a blog keep all the posts a consistent style, this will keep the blog looking professional and organised.

Competition in every market place is a must, and so for you to have a voice you need to consider creating a blog. A blog can increase your sales and profits since you will be giving your business a say on the internet.

Search engine optimization (SEO) is another important aspect of blog marketing. This consists of optimizing your blog in order to enable search engines to find and better rank it. If your blog is ranked high on search engines, you will receive free traffic to it. You will have to consider hiring someone to work on optimizing your blog if you do not have enough time to do it. This will prove to be rewarding with time because blog optimization is essential and it will help you make money online.

Though online blog are considered to be informal platforms, you should keep your target audience in mind while posting. You should question yourself about who is going to read the blog and on what keywords should your post come up. It will be helpful if you do a little bit of keyword research as well.

Pictures and videos, not too much or your page will become clustered. Adding appropriate videos and pictures can really liven up a website/blog and make it more interesting for the readers, however do not use videos and pictures in place of well written content and try to limit your self to a few pictures and at most two videos, most blog websites allow you to add links and add videos can be embedded into the blog itself.

People like to know that the business they are dealing with is done by real people. They want real information from real people. A blog is a good way of telling people about your business. These readers will see how your business has grown and how you have dealt with challenges that come along with running a business. In the long run some of those readers will invest on your information and achievement story; hence they will find it hard to imagine working with anyone else.
